Feel Better

When people around us are sick, we always make sure to say, “I hope you feel better”. Why is it not the same with mental health?

Some days are just a struggle to get through. You’re never told “I hope you feel better”.

The response to mental health is always “solutions”, go get help, go for a walk, distract yourself, try to convince yourself that it’s not happening, don’t let others know what’s going on.

It’s never a person showing empathy. At least, it doesn’t feel that way.

The only advice I want to hear is to feel your feelings and feel better. You will eventually feel better. You don’t have to try every solution. Sometimes the solution you need is the confirmation that people care.
