Witching Time: Art by Simran Kaur

“Witching Time” is inspired by Simran Kaur’s childhood memories. As a child, Simran saw witches as cool creatures who had magical powers and could do the impossible but she slowly started seeing them as fashionable.

As the TV industry grew, characters from cartoons started adopting specific aesthetics and wearing fashionable outfits fitting with what kids and teenagers were wearing or what was in vogue during that specific time period.

The illustration simply showcases the fashionable transition Simran saw happening in cartoons as she grew up.
